[This page isn't very interesting, but has to be here to clarify our relationship with sponsors and recipients]

We’re not handling or spending your money and you can see everything we are doing on the website and in the accounts interface. You are running your project, and paying for it, all we are doing is acting as your agent. You’re free to stop at any time, and your project is not tied to us. We’re not claiming to be a charity, or even a non-profit.

Our intentions are clear from our websites and other publications, and intentions are all that individuals really have any control over. We are free people and have no reason to enter into agreements via legal bodies granting anyone authority over us. We simply want to work together in the aims of Freedom, Love and Abundance.

The introduction of any kind of coercive legal control into our relationship with our sponsors and their recipients would make those aims unattainable. In essence these legal structures are only there to satisfy people who believe they can control the future, by giving themselves a means to punish someone when they fail do so. That is not logical. This applies equally to the relationship between sponsor and recipient. Such relationships are based on fear and only lead to control.

Working with us you have the advantage of knowing what our actual real intentions are; that is worth more than any number of legally binding agreements which can never really be enforced anyway. If you want to work together in friendship with others, this can’t be achieved by introducing a power relationship. 

One of the things we have to lose is the illusion that laws made up by humans are what make things happen. It’s human intentions and actions that make things happen. We can trust someone to work with us in a common goal based on the knowledge that we can exact nasty punishments on them if they don’t do what we agreed, or we can be a bit more careful about whom we choose to work with, by knowing what their real intentions are.

We ‘charter’ ourselves. Direct Sponsor is a Society under Common Law, and is based in Ireland. This website describes our charter, and shows our progress in full.
